switching churches?

While we welcome anyone, we are careful to give a word of caution to those "transferring" to Discovery from another church.

Your reasons for wanting to come to Discovery may be part of a valid call from God.  Maybe the innovative ministry or the upbeat music and message is a welcome change.  Perhaps the relevant Sunday messages or mid-week worship and verse-by-verse bible studies are something you have been missing.  Or maybe the small group fellowships, growth groups and discipleship is just the extra help you need.  

As long as God sends you here - you are welcome.  We consider it a privilege you've chosen to be a part of our congregation.

BUT!!!!!

There is a requirement!  You see, every privilege has its responsibilities and if you are a Christ-follower and you chose to be a part of Discovery Church, please understand this church is designed to reach the unchurched and turn them into mature believers as well as teach those of you who already call themselves "Christ-followers."  It is our goal to reach "everyone, in any way possible, today!"  With that goal in mind, if you are transferring from another church you are welcome here only if you are willing to serve and minister as you grow spiritually.  Simply put, you must commit to growth as you help others to grow!  

If all you intend to do is attend our services, we'd rather save your seat (especially on Sundays) for someone who is an unbeliever.  In that case, there are plenty of good Bible-teaching churches in this area we can recommend.

On the other hand, if you want to experience church in a new way, grow in your spiritual journey and help others do the same - welcome to Discovery Church!!!  We're glad God sent you.
